Where you are is where to start. The threshold invites you to step into your new season of life—gently, at your own pace.
There is no single prescribed path through this portal. We each travel carrying our stories, questions, longings and possibilities. Through quiet reflection, creative expression and kindred connection, we make space for spirit, nature, joy and the wisdom of lived experience—and listen for what is calling us forward.
We may not know where the path will lead. Sometimes it is enough to meet what comes, make a choice, and take the next step
The CreativeSage Way does not lead toward a predetermined destination. It offers places for pause, practices to explore, and possibilities to consider as the journey unfolds.
Laying the Stones
The CreativeSage Way did not begin as a finished framework. It evolved step by step through lived experience—creating, questioning, gathering, reflecting, learning, aging, and becoming.
Over time, I was laying the stepping stones of a path I had not yet named. My journey as a sculptor and multi-media creative, decades of learning and exploration, years of gathering with women in circles of creativity and wisdom, and life’s defining moments each added something to The Way that was taking form.
Along The Way, life invited me to walk the talk—to meet an eye-related challenge with the creative spirit and discover what becomes visible when we learn to see with new eyes.
These experiences and practices were lived, shared, revisited, and refined. What gradually emerged was not a prescribed path to be taught, but an experiential Way of being, doing, and living fully—one that continues to grow and evolve.
A Fork in the Road
Over the years, I encountered many thoughtful approaches to the re-visioning of later life. Some explored the relationship between creativity and aging. Others illuminated aging as a journey toward wisdom and sage-ing.
Creative explorations opened new directions, evolving practices revealed discoveries, and ideas took form through shared experiences. Again and again, I found myself drawn not to one path alone, but to the place where creativity, aging, and wisdom meet, intersect and integrate.

Entering the Path
The Way travels through six Portals of practice and possibility. They are not milestones to be mastered in sequence, but invitations to explore—returning to each as life calls us to listen, reflect, create, engage, and evolve.
Pause, Pray, Ponder, Prepare, Play and Praise invite us to draw upon the creative spirit within, finding our own balance between being and doing as we live fully, creatively, and gracefully.
The CreativeSage Way is an ongoing journey—balancing the demands of everyday life with the imaginative spirit to create, the conscious intention to age well, and the wisdom to embrace the essential.
